Jewellery Care

We do a lot of testing on our components to maintain a high quality and to determine how best to care for them. To keep your jewellery looking as special as the moment you opened the box, please follow these tips:

Protect your jewellery from liquids, sharp blows, scratching, chemicals, sunlight and hot and cold temperatures.  Store your jewellery in a soft lined box or pouch and try to keep pieces apart, so that they don’t rub together or tangle up.

If I am made from plated metal

Plated metals will tarnish if exposed to perfumes, deodorants, oils, body lotions or hairspray. Avoid wearing jewellery when bathing, going to bed, swimming or when exercising. Your jewellery will tarnish if you expose it to any of these scenarios and we will not be able to replace them for you.

If I am made from precious metal

Silver and precious metals can tarnish over time. This process is natural but some substances in our daily lives may speed this up. Contact with soap, hairspray, perfume and even the natural oils on our hands can tarnish silver more quickly. Make sure that silver is stored away from excessive light and air as this can cause premature tarnishing. We recommend that you use a good quality jeweller’s silver cloth regularly as part of your jewellery cleaning routine.

If I am made from leather, silk or cord

Our leather, silk and cord jewellery has been handmade using natural materials. You may notice some slight imperfections and variation in tone. This is to be expected with a natural product and simply adds charm and uniqueness to your piece.

If I am a friendship bracelet

You may adjust the size of your bracelet by using the sliding knot design. Simply pull or loosen the two lengths of cord found either side of the knot.

And one more thing…

Always remove jewellery before showering or swimming. Avoid perfume, hairspray, lotions and potions to keep your jewellery looking its best.
